Are you planning a super swank special event for Con on the Cob in 2015? Do you have an idea for a riotous good time but want to see who else might be interested? Throw out your event ideas here!
Choose Your Own Adventure Orgy
We do a live reading of old choose-your-own-adventure books, but the audience decides where the story will go at each decision point. The audience also gets to decide who’s narrating the book (I do impressions). We keep going until we reach an ending, then grab a new book and start over. We’ll try to see how many books we can get through.

I call dibs on reserving a seat for that event. I can only imagine the EPICness that can come from this… It should be recorded for posterity at the very least.11/06/2014 at 11:57 am #47086
I would love to record the event, and maybe a few panels as well. CotC could build an amazing youtube channel with these videos.11/06/2014 at 12:18 pm #47087
As of now most of our effort regarding CotC has been focused on making a larger Low Life, and in turn Savage Worlds presence next year. Our goal is to have several MOUES GMs and run some Shadow Run style (make your PC in the morning, and use them several times during the day)gaming to get people hooked on the sweet sweet narcotic that is Low Life.11/06/2014 at 12:56 pm #47089
What he said – I would like to see a daily Startup adventure and then a couple of afternoon adventures. There was some wailing and gnashing of teeth on the PEG boards about lack of Savageness this year. We aim to address that AND further the Glorious Righteousness that is Low Life: Re-Dredged!11/06/2014 at 12:57 pm #47090
…and of course more Umbercuke Hats!!!!11/06/2014 at 1:17 pm #47094
I am all for other ideas like Choose your Own Orgy, but I hadn’t thought about it yet. I will have to see if I have any creative juices left for something similar.11/06/2014 at 1:18 pm #47095
Similar, but still distinct and different. We do not want several variations of one original idea, it dilutes the originalness.11/06/2014 at 2:43 pm #47099
I am all for bringing mrs Savageness to CotC. I had a great experience play testing Bloodhounds and Unicarnage at CotC, so maybe we could do a special event where people get to play test next years releases.11/06/2014 at 2:47 pm #47100
That sounds very much fun as well.11/06/2014 at 3:06 pm #47101
I think it would be cool to playtest some of the systems that have not come out yet.11/06/2014 at 3:16 pm #47102
It also wouldn’t be a bad thing for CoC to get a reputation as a place to come to play stuff not out yet!11/07/2014 at 8:03 am #47104
as an activity:
MOUES Adventure club lounge- Get the classiest room, whatever the equivalent of the crown room is at the new venue. And have an adventurers society gathering, Umbercuke hats, mixed drinks, and antique wingback chairs. There we will play the Baron Von Munchausen rpg, where we each come up with fantastical tales of our characters exploits, where we each try to outdo the others.
(At least I assume that is what a group of MOUES members would do if all gathered into a room)
Also, we need to make a Low Life version of the above mentioned story-telling game.11/07/2014 at 8:13 am #47105
The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen
If you look it up on amazon, there are some very helpful reviews, and apparently there are drinking game rules for it as well.11/07/2014 at 8:57 am #47106
Next year try out the game with just players, and depending on the levels of hilarity, open it up to having an audience the next year. Alcohol fueled bull-shittery would be an ideal game for anyone who suffers the GMing bug.11/07/2014 at 8:59 am #47107
Maybe we can make an award for the winner, a low life mini on a base with a small sign reading “Greatest Spouter of the Gab!”11/07/2014 at 9:25 am #47108
I think you are on to something there – But instead of random drinking stories, What if we did round robin One Sheet creations? Baron MonkeyHorseHen’s (Tzin’t Gadabout) Adventures – It could be a new column for the Journal!
Get a room with an LCD projector and drink and knock out one sheets as a group! …and drink….11/07/2014 at 10:42 am #47109
I love the “and drink” part!11/07/2014 at 10:48 am #47110
Looks like it will be a good time, we should do both though, one evening of storytelling, one evening of one sheeting. (and of course one evening of Choose Your Own Orgy)11/07/2014 at 11:09 am #47111
If there is another “We are all Oithlings” (and I hope ther is) we need to follow it up with “We are all MOUES” (possibly the first non drinking activity to show up on this list)
This was actually Thom’s idea, I just wanted to make sure it made it to the thread, and the lack of drinking will be entirely optional.
