I am thinking of fleshing it out a bit, and wanted to see if anyone has worked on it yet?
07/03/2014 at 6:22 pm #45985No, I haven’t run any adventures there.
07/04/2014 at 12:16 am #45988See separate post… Imma thinkin Imma gonna start something and I would like you guys to be a part of it.
07/04/2014 at 7:54 am #46001I am up for it. Will this be play by post or something on a site like roll20?
07/04/2014 at 12:23 pm #46009I’m not sure yet. I am toying with the idea of using it as a vehicle to flesh out the Underwhere. Perhaps along the lines of Robert Asprin’s Thieve’s world concept.
For those of you not familiar with it, what he did was create a medieval fantasy city, documented background information on it and distributed it to a bunch of fantasy authors.
They were each asked to submit a resume for “their” character – things most people would know about that character. These resumes were distributed to all the authors and then they were let loose to write short stories in the setting. They could use any of the other author’s characters within the guidelines provided for that character within certain boundaries (couldn’t kill some one else’s character, couldn’t fundamentally alter them etc).
So I would like to start collecting your stories about your character’s exploits in the Underwear. Ideas are fine, if you aren’t comfortable writing actual stories, we will dig up someone to flesh them out.
And then I think I will try and run an MOUES game for you guys, perhaps at the meet and greet Sat night, if I build up the courage to.
Moving forward after that, Roll20 is an option.
I want your characters to be founding members that we can grow a thing out of. Andy (of course) will be so intrigued with the results, he will include them in an upcoming book!
I was thinking if we can get a bunch of us contributing, these could turn into regular (monthly?) distributed One Sheets – available to to fan base…
Again putting the foundation in place. I plan on picking some brains at CoC. For those of you not able to attend, fear not I will certainly make inclusion available to you as well.
First step if you are interested (or think you may be interested in the future) get me a character sheet! You will not be “on the hook” for anything, contribution will be strictly voluntary, but there may be associated character advancement associated with it.
07/04/2014 at 12:24 pm #46010um and stuff… ok that was a bit meandering…
07/04/2014 at 12:59 pm #46012So if we can get six members, each contributing an idea – for a location or an encounter, just one per member every 6 months, we can do this. Then we post the ideas and someone who likes to do the writing jazz, fleshes them out into a one sheet!
(Sorry was finishing a thought)
07/04/2014 at 5:12 pm #46013You have me intrigued. I would definitely be interested in contributing a member, I need more experience in creating on sheet adventures, but it sounds like fun.
07/04/2014 at 8:18 pm #46021Imma thinkin we set up a fill in the form kind of template. I figure maybe we can meet virtually monthly, pull out someone’s idea and flesh it out.
Andy’s Underwhere is wide open and un documented!

07/04/2014 at 8:27 pm #46025That is the most terrifying sentence I have ever read.
07/04/2014 at 8:37 pm #46027Be afraid… be very afraid…
Seriously though, Lets talk through the functional specifics at CoC!
07/04/2014 at 8:47 pm #46029I am cool with that, what we probably need for the characters aside from the character sheet is a Legend of the Five rings 20 questions about the characters hopes and dreams.
07/04/2014 at 8:58 pm #46031I also need a good format to fill out the details on his Giggity Bertome.
07/04/2014 at 9:33 pm #46032Here are some of the questions it would help if the characters answered (swiped from L5R):
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER’S MAIN MOTIVATION?
WHO IS THE PERSON YOUR CHARACTER TRUSTS MOST?
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER’S GREATEST STRENGTH? GREATEST WEAKNESS?
IS YOUR CHARACTER MARRIED?
DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY PREJUDICES?
TO WHOM DOES YOUR CHARACTER OWE THE MOST LOYALTY?
WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER’S FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE THINGS?
DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY RECURRING MANNERISMS?
WHAT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER’S EMOTIONS?
HOW WOULD YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE A SUBORDINATE’S IMPROPER BEHAVIOR?
HOW WOULD YOUR CHARACTER’S PARENTS DESCRIBE HIM?
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER’S HIGHEST AMBITION?
HOW RELIGIOUS IS YOUR CHARACTER?
IF YOU COULD, WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR CHARACTER?
DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE AN ULTIMATE GOAL? WHAT IS IT?
DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE A SECRET? IF PEOPLE FIND OUT HOW WILL YOUR CHARACTER REACT?
WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER DO TO RELAX?
IF YOU HAD A MILLION CLAMS HOW WOULD YOU SPEND IT?
WHAT REWARD WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO RECEIVE?
WHO IS YOUR CHARACTERS CLOSEST FRIEND?
WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER LOVE, FEAR, HATE?
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTERS IDEAL MATE?
These are of course just guideline questions, all need not be answered (I mean lets face it, when was the last time you answered all these questions for yourself, I mean aside from just now)
07/04/2014 at 9:36 pm #46033Also, if the underwhere doesn’t work out, There is a whole southern hemisphere to Oith that hasn’t been shown on the maps yet. We may even be able to find a Face of Oith!
07/04/2014 at 10:36 pm #46036Lies?
07/04/2014 at 11:16 pm #46039Which part? Last year I spent a significant amount of time looking at Oiths projections, and it looks like there is a significant amount of land mass which is not shown on the current maps of Oith. We could host expeditions to discover new Oith realms!
07/05/2014 at 12:48 am #46042I was specifically targeting the Underwhere. Of course what is at the other end of a tunnel….
07/05/2014 at 8:25 am #46045Ok, I was just pointing out that once we have extensively searched the Underwhere, there are additional aboveground land masses we can look at.
I am cool with the characters exploring the Underwhere.
07/05/2014 at 12:13 pm #46048Underwhere is pretty big. I am SURE there are other organizations surveying other locations, No reason that couldn’t be run parallel so if some one has an idea in that area they could run with it!
