Going through the code now – somewhere it is losing track of the author ID…07/19/2014 at 8:04 am #46466
New region of the Underwhere has been located and put in the MOUES forum.
Welcome to the Phuccal region. What is around, Phuccal!”07/19/2014 at 8:06 am #46467
New beasties located in the Phuccal region. Phombs seem to be the glowing cousins of the sluglike creatures above ground. Find out more in the MOUES forum under New Beasties!07/19/2014 at 8:44 am #46469
Also added, the mechanics portion for creating your own Hareian in the New Races! section of the MOUES forum. Also added is an optional Hareian specific hinderance with its mechanics.07/19/2014 at 9:00 am #46471
Also, it appears that our journals are down. Error appears when you try to open the journal:

I will check it out momentarily07/20/2014 at 8:10 am #46475
Just checked out the MOUES site, thank you for adding in standardized power, place, critter, and NPC forms. I will start working on those when I get time at a real computer instead of a tablet.07/20/2014 at 10:00 am #46476
They will be replaced shortly 😀 I started working on online forms last night.07/20/2014 at 2:04 pm #46477
Ok there is now an online form to upload New Critter (Mutha Oith Underwhere Explorer’s Societe’ Field Report D: Bestiary Addendum)07/20/2014 at 6:23 pm #46480
Sweet, now all I need are more ideas *starts punching head* Think, think, thunk!07/20/2014 at 7:43 pm #46485
Ok got the Arcane Powers and Bestiary automated – they are pretty straight forward and use Andy’s standard format. I would like to invite input on what data points should be gathered for the following entities:
-Rules07/20/2014 at 7:49 pm #46486
Gear should be straight forward.07/20/2014 at 8:23 pm #46487
I think Rules would be fairly straight forward as well, one field for rule, another field for effect.
I think we need a new skills section, I am thinking of writing up some rules for a skill called salvage, scrounge, or “Hey, what’s that?”
It needs a field for name, a field for attribute, a field for rules effects.
Religon is going to be trickier, needing a field for name, a field for deity,a field for who typically follows this religon, a field for basic tennants, and a field for flavor text07/20/2014 at 8:33 pm #46489
Sorry, Neccocomicon is actually in the Powers section of the other forum, as opposed to Religon.07/20/2014 at 9:08 pm #46490
I think Rules will need to be more robust than that. It should have background information, whatever rolls are required, cause, effect and perhaps information about being unsuccessful.
I am really leery of adding skills – Shane is adamant against doing it in settings. I had thought about adding some new ones for things like separating Boating: Capital Ships vs Boating: Speed boats. After discussions on the forums I have come around to their way of thinking – This could be handled either with specialties attached to skills or Edges – like I did with Slog Schooners.07/20/2014 at 10:43 pm #46491
Ok, I could see scavanger as an Edge
Requirements: Smarts d8, Notice d8
Ability: Once per scene, character is able to scrounge up extra clams, or one uncommon item or weapon that wouldn’t be typically found in the area. Plot point items can not be scrounged.
For example, if for plot purposes characters had to get through a locked door, you can not scrounge the key, but you may be able to find the makings of improv lock picks.
When you say Shane, do you mean the creator of Savage Worlds? Do you know him?07/22/2014 at 8:41 am #46510
Added another creature for approval the Calcified Octoslog.
