Well ok not really. I will post some ground rules which in general will say
1) You can’t hijack someone else’s expedition, you may feel free to join and add events but not make major changes to the story line.
2) You can’t kill off someone else’s npc / pet / hireling, though if something happens to the whole group (Captured by Blorpurples) it happens to them as well
3) The “Escape” clause will say you can leave a group at any time and “miraculously” make your way to the surface. Once this is done, you may not impact their expedition (not start a competing one for the same specific goal).
Ospprod you are awarded 2 XP. One for the introduction and one for the first day of your journal!07/15/2014 at 9:51 am #46251
YOU CAN’T EAT MY HAIR!
Also it gave me the best shot to play up the hard of hearing.07/15/2014 at 10:52 am #46254
Oh, I kinda figured that Zlozz would end up wandering off in his own direction once everyone is in the Oith. One thing I would like to know is Expedition Length, how many days will the expedition be. That way I can:
A) provide Zlozz’s point of view on a given day if in the group and nothing AWESOME happens
2) Have Zlozz wander off on his own and be able to meet back up on a given day
III) It will allow me to keep the journal about the same length as everyone else’s. It doesn’t make sense if you have a 3 day trip in your mind, and I fill in 6 days worth of Journal entries, then meet the group for the trip back up.

10 weeks, 70 days of goodness, I can do SO MUCH DAMAGE to the Underwhere. I should have taken a skill in drawing/cartpgraphy to start mapping/ sketchin’poo.07/15/2014 at 2:45 pm #46268
bwahahaha! Seriously anyone done any cartography? Got a good App? I have a bunch, but I don’t have the time or patience to learn them.07/15/2014 at 2:48 pm #46269
I am a GIS Analyst, and all of my electives in school were 400 level mapping classes. I am also familiar with old school surveying and total station.
I like maps…07/15/2014 at 3:05 pm #46273
Well then get to work! We need to start with the Mutha Oith surface as an overlay and plot egress points, then connect them.07/15/2014 at 3:16 pm #46275
I already did a spread of Andy’s original map over a projection of the real earth, and it looks like most of the southern hemisphere was left out. It was a planar projection, so as you move away from the North Pole, the distortion gets higher. We could just use the map from the original Low Life, and draw in where you want entrances/ exits. If you want anything more complex than that you will have to give me more details for where you want exits. Unfortunately I am not the artist Andy is, So anything I do won’t rock near as much as what Andy could do.07/15/2014 at 3:30 pm #46278
Looks like I will have to tackle Campaign Cartographer 🙁07/15/2014 at 3:43 pm #46280
Since we have no cartographers in our group, odds are any mapping our characters made would be horribly out of scale and inaccurate. I could go into a long, long rant about the issues with mapping and rpgs, but I will save that for a day I need more clams, then post it one sentence at a time, and when the smoke clears I will be the top Oithling (or not).07/15/2014 at 5:08 pm #46290
You could work toward an appropriate edge so that you CAN become the official cartographer.07/15/2014 at 5:24 pm #46294

Where is the fun in knowing where you are? With skills like those you miss out on many opportunities to add more later.07/16/2014 at 1:49 am #46307
Ok reading through here we can expect Mbuna and Crudeboy to join us 0 Shenron, haven’t heard from you in a while? You still lurking out there?07/16/2014 at 6:32 am #46312
I think real life and his shiny new child are getting in the way of his posting on the forum time. Some people have no perspective on where there priorities should be. 😆07/16/2014 at 9:30 am #46321
Hmm shiney new babies have a way of distracting you…07/16/2014 at 9:43 am #46326
Wouldn’t know, maybe next year.07/16/2014 at 9:58 am #46330
