Because I have the coolest friends in all the land, I have decided to do a little something special to show my appreciation. In celebration of the release of the new Low Life redredged core rulebook next Spring I am going to host the release party to end all release parties!
You are all invited! It’ll be up here in Northern Ohio. I’m still working out the venue and the date, which is where you come in. I need help deciding these things, because I am stupid and you are not.
First, here’s the gist:
A weekend celebration of all things Mutha Oith. We’ll start on a Friday and go through Sunday. I’ll run Low Life for everyone. We’ll play Dementalism. We’ll make new friends, have some slop and some suds (if you’re into that sort of thing), and make plans for next year’s con season.
It will be entirely FREE for all Oithlings with at least 50 clams (and probably just like $20 for everyone else, to cover the snacks and such).
So, the big question is, who would have the inclination and means to attend? If that means you, when is the best time to do it? I’m thinking March or April, but when exactly? My schedule is relatively open that time of year and I’d love to have as many as many of you there as possible.09/23/2013 at 2:32 pm #7300
So cool. I would be very much able and thrilled to attend, sir. My Schedule is very fluid and given enough notice I would be able to work around just about anything. How about Friday sometime around 4 or 5 until Sunday afternoonish?09/23/2013 at 2:36 pm #7303
That’s pretty much what I’m thinking too. I know a lot of people need advance notice for work and others are teachers who have Spring Breaks and other assorted whatnots.09/23/2013 at 2:40 pm #7305
Holy underwear… this sounds awesome. March will be tough for me as I will inevitably have a family birthday thang in early March and am committed to a weekend event on March 22/23. I’d love to participate and will officially cast my vote for April.09/23/2013 at 8:36 pm #7333
I would love to attend! The best weekend for me would be Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16, because that’s Spring Break for my district. I probably wouldn’t be able to do anything in April due to Florida’s standardized testing schedule. But keep me posted and I’ll see what I can swing.09/23/2013 at 10:07 pm #7342
Heck to the yeah. I’m totally down for this.
Really the only two bugaboos I have with travelling at the moment are time off of work and a reliable way to get there.
Will there be an airport somewhere relatively near?
Other than, March or April are open for me as of right now.09/24/2013 at 1:12 am #7358
Also, I think commemorative Sad Oith tattoos are in order.09/24/2013 at 8:40 am #7392
Sweet! WAP, would you be able to do March 14-16?
Crudeboy, I’m thinking of getting one myself…
The Akron/Canton airport is about 5 minutes from my house, so no worries there.09/24/2013 at 8:44 am #7394
I would love to attend. My spring break is in the middle/end of April (as is my bday) but I can try to swing whatever with enough notice.09/27/2013 at 9:33 pm #7613
Sweet. I’ll start pricing plane and room tickets as soon as a date and location are hammered out.
As for the tattoo? Hey, if there’s a decent artist nearby and if time permits, I’ll totally get a Sad Oith done up there.09/28/2013 at 8:34 am #7657
There are quite a few good tattoo artists up here. I’ll be getting mine done by Scott Versago, who’s something of an international celebrity tattoo guy (google him).09/29/2013 at 3:19 am #7693
Oh man, I’d love to go to this, but funds are so tight. Hopefully in the future, when I have a better paying job, I’ll have the money to be able to safely take the time off for such things. Until then, I’ll have to deal with just being there in spirit. 😛09/30/2013 at 9:13 am #7723
It’s looking like March 14-16 is probably when the most people can make it. It’s not set in stone yet (maybe set in mashed potatoes), but so far it’s looking best. Is there anyone who wants to go but would not be able to make that weekend?09/30/2013 at 7:05 pm #7746
That weekend is great for me. Do you have possible locations yet? Or are you still shopping around?09/30/2013 at 9:56 pm #7755
Sounds good to me.
I’ll be starting a new job in December, opening a new restaurant downtown. My boss is one of my best friends, I’ll have a good deal of pull myself, and there are not any huge events happening during that time so taking off then should not be a problem.

The location would be somewhere near my house. There’s a community center about two blocks away that I can rent for free. The only problem is I can’t reserve it until January, so I won’t know if I can get it until then. If it’s not there, it might be at the Clarion hotel where Con on the Cob is.10/03/2013 at 6:38 am #7795
Sorry for the late reply. March 14-16 would be good for me!10/06/2013 at 7:49 am #7838
Excellent! I am still looking for a location, but the community center in my neighborhood looks like a good spot. The only major concern there is that they don’t allow alcohol, so I don’t know if that’s a concern for anyone. On the plus side, it would be all ours, it has a kitchen, and it’s a nice place with plenty of room, and it’s free.11/19/2013 at 7:08 pm #12165
