I’ll start by saying I’m more of a collector than a gamer.

I got Dementalism and its expansions a while back, and immediately tore them open to play. Later I was like… man, they came in nice sealed tuck-boxes, I should have left them sealed and ordered another copy to open.

The G’Zoink expansions come in unsealed plastic cases so it’s easy to pull them out and sleeve them and put them back in. (The G’Zoink starter is sealed in a double-wide version of the same plastic, and too thick to put back in sleeved. We’ll discuss that later.)

Then I got the Low Life Mis-Adventure deck and it’s sealed in a nice tuck-box again.

So here are my findings, if anyone wants to follow along at home, and hopefully Andy or staff will chime in with missing pieces.

    • Dementalism: Sealed double-wide tuck box (order an extra to play)
    • Dementalism Expansion 01: Sealed tuck box (order an extra to play)
    • Dementalism Expansion 02: Sealed tuck box (order an extra to play)
    • Dementalism Expansion 03: Sealed tuck box (order an extra to play)
    • Low Life Mis-Adventure Deck: Sealed tuck box (order an extra to play)
    • G’Zoink Base Set: Sealed double plastic box. Sleeved cards probably won’t fit back in case. No idea what to do.
    • G’Zoink Expansion 01: Unsealed half-full plastic case (sleeve)
    • G’Zoink Expansion 02: Unsealed half-full plastic case (sleeve)
    • G’Zoink Expansion 3.5: Unsealed half-full plastic case (sleeve)
    • G’Zoink Expansion 04: Unsealed half-full plastic case (sleeve)
    • G’Zoink Expansion 05: Unsealed half-full plastic case (sleeve)
    • Low Life Deck On Oith Version 01: Unsealed full plastic case (I think this would fit back in if sleeved)

I don’t have everything and there are a lot more cards to come. Please help me know how to plan for collecting and/or playing. 🙂

Do you guys prefer the cardboard tuck boxes or the clear plastic ones?

Dementalism and all its expansions come in the cardboard ones, while G’Zoink and the Playing Card decks come in plastic ones. The plastic ones are more durable and are easier for me because I don’t have to buy 1000 at a time. The cardboard ones are more customizable but are easy to crush.

Honestly, I never really put much consideration into how the cards would fit in their boxes once they were sleeved. I’ll do some research and see what I can find.

As a collector I prefer the tuck boxes because I don’t open them. As a gamer I prefer the plastic boxes because I’m allowed to. 🙂

I have a bunch of SW game custom card and benny sets. I have looked at poker cases, but they are light on space for cards. I have been contemplating building my own custom case designed in a poker set steel case.
